How to Start a Sari-Sari Store Business in the Philippines

Sari-sari store business shops are everywhere in the Philippines. Wherever you go, whether in an urban setting like the capital city of Manila or a rural area, these small stores are very common. One of the main reasons why these stores are so popular is the fact that they are too easy to set up. All you really need is store space, an initial inventory of goods, shelves to display such goods, a cash box and you are good to go. You will be making money in no time.

Is a sari-sari store a profitable business?
Just like any type of business, a sari-sari store's profitability depends on a lot of factors. But yes, running one can be profitable and can earn you a substantial amount of additional or even full-time income. Of course, the amount of net profit you generate, say on a monthly basis, will depend on the size of your store and the number of customers. The simple fact that there are thousands of Filipinos running sari-sari stores all over the country means they are getting something out of it. If they are not turning in profits, then they should all have closed by now.

How do you get started?
The most important things when setting up your sari-sari store business are the following: store space, initial funding, and the necessary permits, licenses or papers to legally operate the business. If you don't have the necessary permits to run a store, sooner or later you'll find yourself in trouble. Authorities can shut down your store if you don't show proof that you are lawfully conducting business.

Finding the right location for your sari-sari store.
The best space would be one that's as near as possible to sources of foot traffic. This is why business owners are so fond of putting up stores near road intersections and bridges and well-traversed streets because their stores will have maximum visibility. Other great locations include spaces near schools, public markets, and loading stations for public utility vehicles. Of course, you have to consider the competition in said locations. Just because a space is near a place where a lot of people pass by doesn't mean it's a great location. What if there are dozens of other sari-sari stores already established in the area.

What to sell in your sari-sari store business.
Think of the basic items that people consume on a regular basis. These include food items like canned goods, noodles, rice, soy sauce, vinegar, instant coffee, and preserved foods such as dressed chicken, tocino, dried fish, hotdogs and longganisa. Skin and hair products like soap and shampoo are also items that sell briskly. You should also keep inventories of dry goods like slippers and office supplies like pad paper and ballpens. For additional income, you can also use your store as a loading station for Smart, Globe, Sun and Touch Mobile subscribers.

5 Tips on How to Play Better on Clash of Clans

When it comes to mobile gaming, one of the most popular games out there is Clash of Clans. This is an addictive and enjoyable game that allows players to raid and attack each other's villages with wizards, barbarians and even dragons. However, with the immense number of players within the game, making your way to the top of the game's score leaderboards is not exactly a walk in the park. To help you out in improving your game, here are a few tips on how you should play Clash of Clans. Follow these tips and you'll be on your way to raiding and defending villages much better.

1. During multiplayer skirmishes, know which resources you are going to focus your raids.
Keep in mind that with the exception of the Town Hall, only a certain percentage of the resources available in a drill or storage location can be obtained. For example, you can obtain 75% of the resources contained by a Dark Elixir Drill, 50% from Elixir and Gold Collectors, etc. For the Town Hall however, you can obtain 100% of the resources stored in it. With that said, it's really strategic if you focus your attention on those locations wherein you can get more loot.

2. Defend your village or base with upgraded walls.
This is a very important defense strategy. Once you start playing the game, you will be provided access to walls that are wooden. However, these walls don't hold much against higher-level intruders so you need to upgrade them whenever it's possible. The general strategy is that you should avail of the walls available in your current level. Whenever you reach another level, try to upgrade your walls.

3. Prematurely end a battle but keep all your trophies.
If a really tough raid is coming up and you think you better wave the white flag, then do so. In order to be able to keep your current trophies, you have to stop deploying troops or casting any spells.

4. If given the chance for revenge, do not hesitate to take it.
There's a reason why the "Revenge" option is available in the game. It gives you the chance to get back to those who have previously raided you. So use it when you have the chance.

5. Protect your Town Hall by utilizing a lot of teslas and traps.
In order to prevent enemies from raiding your town hall, surround it with hidden teslas and traps. The beauty of these things is that they don't appear to your opponents. That said, they will be caught off-guard when they try to raid your Town Hall.

Using these tips will significantly help you to become more successful in playing Clash of Clans.

4 Effective Strategies When Playing Clash of Clans

One of the things you should always keep in mind when playing Clash of Clans is that you will be up against players with varying skill sets. This is not to mention the fact that you will be encountering players from levels that are much higher than yours. With that said, it's very important that you are aware of the various strategies that you can use to help you survive in the game against all types of players. Clash of Clans is a strategy game. You have to be smart and you need to come up with strategies that best suit the opponents you are facing.

Here are a few strategies that you can use:
1. When raiding an enemy village, use Giants to distract enemy defenses before you unleash your own troops. However, for this strategy to work, you have to break down a portion of the enemy's walls with a couple of Wall Breakers. With the wall down, you can then send the Giants in. And while the enemies are busy fighting off the Giants, you can then send your own troops in the form of Goblins, Archers and Barbarians.

2. When you are under attack by Wall Breakers, you can lure them away by building dummy targets. Wall Breakers have a weakness in their AI and you can exploit this by building an enclosed hut within your walls. This will easily draw away the Wall Breakers from much more valuable targets. This also buys you time to plan a counter-attack or set up a defensive front.

3. Lure away the enemy's mobile defenses by dropping a single troop before you unleash a horde of your own army upon your target. This strategy takes timing and precision but it works very well in dismantling and raiding your enemies bit by bit. For good measure, you can also add spells in your distraction strategies to give more time for your troops to implement raids.

4. Use the bait and surround tactic during raids. This is very effective especially if you are raiding an enemy village whose defenses are exposed and concentrated on the rim of their base. With this tactic, you distract the enemies with your Giants while your Archers destroy the enemy's defensive structures.

These Clash of Clans strategies are rather easy to set up and implement. Just make sure that you have enough resources and troops. The key to winning battles and successful raids in the game hugely depends on how good you are in coming up with good strategies.

A Strategy Guide for New Clash of Clans Players

Playing a game for the very first time can be a bit confusing. The very popular combat and strategy game Clash of Clans is no different. With that said, below is a simple strategy guide which you can follow to ensure that you start playing the game the right way. The main premise of the game involves building and protecting clans, conquering other villages and training troops. So there's the continuity factor. If you conquer and loot an enemy village, you have to set up measures and defenses to protect it from other clans. Below is a simple guide on how the game is played:

Selecting a Unit:
It's probably best for beginners to start in single player mode. Familiarize yourself with how the game is played by selecting various troops and villages. Also experiment with defense strategies and try to determine which defenses work well with particular attackers. Consider this as your training before you engage with serious and more competitive gamers.

Investing in Both Defense and Offense:
Clash of Clans is a strategy game so you have to be knowledgeable in both offense and defense techniques. Your clan may have the strongest troops but if the defenses of your villages are less than par, you will be very vulnerable to raids by other clans. All the resources your strong troops have acquired will only be stolen by other clans because you didn't have the appropriate defense measures installed to protect such resources. That said, train and upgrade your troops very well but don't forget to build walls and towers to protect your villages.
Clash of Clans 3
Clearing Additional Space:
When you plan on creating more space, you need to consider the expenses involved. The more space you create, the more resources you are going to spend. A lot of players use the strategy of clearing smaller items first before they lock on the bigger ones. This allows them to save up on resources like coins and elixirs.

Saving Gems:
Gems are very important in Clash of Clans. They are what you use to build troops and villages as quickly as possible. However, a lot of players make the mistake of using up their gems early on in the game. This is not a good strategy at all. You, as a player, should learn how to save up on your games and use them on much more valuable purchases.

These are the most basic aspects of the game Clash of Clans. If you are able to fully grasp these, then you are on your way to successfully playing the game.

Declaration of Pendency/Non-Pendency of Case Form - Where and How to Get It?

The Declaration of Pendency/Non-Pendency of Case is a document required by the Government Service Insurance System or GSIS from government retirees.

My mother who retired after a long career of government service under the Department of Education (formerly the Department of Education, Culture and Sports) has been following up her papers with regards to her retirement benefits. Among the required documents by the GSIS is the Declaration of Pendency/Non-Pendency of Case. During the time that the GSIS messaged my mother that she needs to submit a copy of the Declaration, she was in the province so she asked me to get her a copy from the GSIS branch in Baguio City.
So I went at their office and secured one. I thought getting a form would be a bit of work but it wasn't. This is a one-page form that the applicant has to fill up. To get a form of the Declaration, you have to go to a GSIS office near you. You don't have to present anything. Just go straight to the Members Assistance section of the office and ask for a form. You can ask for several copies if you want.

Download the form online
If you don't want to visit a GSIS office or if there isn't an office near you or if there is one but it is too far, there's an alternative option for you. You can download a copy of the form from the internet. There ar several copies floating around if you know where to look.

The Art of Promoting Business Shops on the Internet

Doing business on the internet is getting more complicated by the day as more and more entrepreneurs bring their shops online. People are starting to see the full benefits of running a business online and they're all rushing to jump into the bandwagon. The mad rush not only includes businesses that exclusively offer their products and services on the internet. It also includes brick and mortar establishments whose only goal of going online is for marketing and promotional purposes. This is not at all surprising considering the fact that most people these days are connected in one way or another to the web. And a huge percentage of them gain access to the web in almost daily basis. With that said, it has become a necessity for most businesses to build their presence online in order to take advantage of a growing market.

Furthermore, developments in the various technologies that run web-based businesses are moving forward at a rather fast pace. Entrepreneurs have to keep up of these developments or else they will be left behind by their competitors. Needless to say, competition online is getting tougher and much more messy. Everyone is trying to stay ahead of each other. Business promotion on the internet has become an endeavor that will not only require hard work and patience on the part of the marketer. He or she must also be patient and most important of all, smart. The well-known rule of working smarter instead of harder applies here. Promoting a business is not about using as many marketing strategies as possible. Instead, it's about finding the few strategies that get the most results then scaling or improving them to maximize the results they generate. In most cases, this will require a lot of testing on the part of the marketer.

There are a lot of factors that every entrepreneur should consider when promoting business shops online. The most important of these factors is of course the needs and wants of the target market or audience. An entrepreneur planning a marketing campaign has to determine first what his customers need. After identifying the needs of potential customers, the entrepreneur has to build the marketing campaign around such needs. This ensures that when a person receives the marketing message, at least he or she has some form of interest in it. Whether the person becomes a buying customer or not will depend on the quality and relevancy of the marketing message. In other words, the promotional content being feed to the target audience should be something that they are genuinely interested in. For example, if the marketing campaign aims to promote a new fashion product, then the campaign should focus on getting the attention of people who love shopping or talking about clothes and accessories.

It is therefore very important that before a promotional campaign commences, the target audience or market should have been identified firsthand. In fact, the target market should have been determined even before the planning of the campaign. Either way, identification of the recipient of the marketing message is very important. Online business shops, especially those that cater to very specific niches, can't just promote themselves using a one-size-fits-all approach. This technique may work for more general niches, but for stores offering a specialized line of products and services, it's best that they promote themselves only to people they think will be interested in their wares. This substantially minimizes wasted money, time and efforts. Additionally, with niche marketing, it's almost a guarantee that a business is going to increase its conversion rates. It's simple, marketing to the right people will generate the right results.

One huge mistake that marketers often commit when promoting their shops online is that they often go too salesy in their marketing pitches. Going too hard on a target market can really backfire and hurt a business instead of helping it. That said, entrepreneurs should learn to make use of strategies that don't desperately try to push products and services down the throats of customers. Online consumers are getting smarter these days due to the prevalence of too much advertising and commercialization on the internet. They're now starting to be able to easily identify advertisements from real content. That said, a marketer needs to find ways on how to offer valuable content while subtlety promoting a product or service.

The beauty of promoting business shops online is the availability of options. Unlike traditional marketing strategies like print advertising or TV advertising, the web offers dozens of promotional opportunities for marketers. For a start, there's search engine optimization or SEO for short. This is the process of tweaking and optimizing a website or blog with the sole intention of helping it rank higher in the search engine results. This is very important because most people these days use a search engine like Google and Yahoo when looking for a product or service online. Other online marketing methods that have been proven to be really effective are video marketing, article marketing, social media marketing and forum marketing. For the best results, an entrepreneur should make use of a combination of all these methods.

One virtue that every businessman should possess if he or she intends to get results from his/her marketing efforts is patience. Sometimes, no matter how hard or how long a person does work in promoting his shops, the positive results will not always come immediately. He will have to wait for some time before he'll be able to reap the good fruits of his hard labor. That said, every online entrepreneur should be patient. Just keep doing the good work and results will arrive, sooner or later.

In conclusion, promoting business shops online is not a walk in the park. It requires intelligence on the part of the marketer. It also involves making use of the right promotional methods. As was mentioned earlier, a business which belongs to a particular niche will also require a particular set of marketing strategies. Getting more people to visit and buy from shops online can indeed be done with the right methods and the right attitude.

A Step by Step Guide on How to Ace an Interview

Being called for an interview is merely the initial step in the job application process. What you do next will determine if you are going to be hired or not. Now there's a secret on how you can easily land any job you fancy. And that's by controlling the interview process by being confident of your skills, staying calm, and expecting only positive results. If you do all these, you will come across to the employer as unique and refreshing. As a job candidate, the employer will always remember you.

Always keep in mind that it's your attitude not your skills that will determine if you're going to pass the interview or not. Before anything else, remember that the company called you for a reason. That said, you have to prove to them that they didn't make a mistake in inviting you for an interview. By showing confidence, you are reminding the employer that you are not desperate and that there are other jobs that you might choose from. In essence, you are creating the impression that the employer needs you and not the other way around.

Also, don't waste your time waiting for the interviewer to ask questions. The moment you say hello, you should learn to take control of the pace of the interview. Do this by offering a firm handshake while exuding confidence and enthusiasm. Be expectant but don't be too eager or else you will come across as desperate. Stay relaxed and give the employer time to digest what you're trying to impart.

Here are the steps on how you can come away with a successful job interview:
Step 1: Take over the interview process by being the first to ask questions.
This may sound as if it's too direct but it's very effective because employers are looking for no-nonsense candidates. The first 15 minutes of the interview is crucial. You have to use that time to learn everything you can about the company by asking a succession of questions. You then use the information you gathered to determine exactly what the company is looking for. Examples of the questions you may ask are as follows:
How long have they been in operation?
What type of professionals are they looking for?
What's the culture within the company like?
What are the priority qualities they are looking for in an applicant?
Why is the job position open?

Step 2: Answer the interviewer's questions using the information you gathered from step 1.
If you asked the right questions in the first step, you know exactly what the company is looking for. If the interviewer asks you to tell him something about yourself, merely threw the question back at him by saying "What aspect of me do you want to know more about?" The general rule is that you should keep your answers as short as possible. Spouting long answers can bore the interviewer and this can be bad for you.

As the employer proceeds with the interview process, all you need to do is feed back to them the details you gathered in step one above.

Step 3: Create an intense mutual trust.
Since you have identified the type of candidate they're looking for, you'll now have to build trust between the employer and yourself. Here's an example:

Interviewer: "Among the qualities we are looking for in a candidate is resourcefulness. We are looking for someone who can independently come up with solutions without being told what to do all the time." You: "I do understand what you mean. It is indeed necessary that someone has to be proactive in his job by finding various solutions and by working independently as this promotes growth not only for the individual but for the whole company as well."

By creating rapport with the interviewer, he will start liking you. And this will always result to a successful interview.

Step 4: Create the impression that they've hired you already through future pacing.
Considering that you have established rapport and trust with the interviewer, you now have to instill in his mind that you are already a hired employee. You can do this by asking questions that concern your future in the company. The more you talk about the future, the more chances you have in landing the job. That said, you should talk more about the future than about the past. Here are some of the questions you will be asking:

Who are the people I'll be working for or with?
What's it like working for the first six months here?

And the most valuable question of all: I'm really curious. What do you envision me doing on a daily basis if I walk through that door located over there?

If the interviewer positively answers the questions mentioned above, then you've instilled in him the mindset that you are now working for the company.

Step 5: Challenge the interviewer to get more out of him.
If you've followed all the other steps above, then you've put yourself in a very good position to getting the job. Now, to make sure that you indeed get the job, go even further by challenging the interviewer. Do this by querying him about the people in the company you are going to work with.
Your challenge can be as follows: I had the privilege of working with various companies in the past. I'm currently doing interviews with several companies and I've realized along the way what I really need. From my experiences, the title, the position or the company isn't what matters the most to me. What I value the most is the relationship I have with the other employees. I want to be comfortable with them both in a professional and personal level. That said, I wish to know if you are comfortable with me coming on board. And if I choose to work for the company, is it okay with you if I meet the entire group because it's very important to me?

Once you've set the challenge, expect the interviewer to instinctively respond by accepting your challenge and eventually showing you around to meet the other employees.

Now improve the rapport even more by saying the following:
I feel really glad that working with people you are comfortable with is also very important for you. Have you ever come across a person who for whatever reason, you feel totally comfortable working with? And you have this feeling that you can comfortably work alongside the person for days, months or even years? It's really like that with me right now.

This is a little-known interview strategy that works very well just as long as you follow the steps discussed above. By following the steps, you will never fail a job interview ever again.

Lipat Bahay Truck for Rent: How to Look for One in the Philippines

"Lipat bahay" is the Filipino term for the act of moving from one home or apartment to another. "Lipat" means transfer in English and "bahay" means house. So in essence, the phrase "lipat bahay" translates to "transfer house/home". It's the term that Filipinos usually use when referring to moving out of their homes or current place of residence. They use variations of the phrase. Below are a few examples.

Lilipat ako/kami ng bahay.; I'm moving out of my/our house.
Kelangan talaga namin na lumipat ng bahay.; We really need to move out of the house.

Just like in other countries, there's a whole industry built around businesses that help people in moving out of their homes and transferring to another home or apartment. A company or business that offers such services is simply referred to as a "Lipat Bahay".

Ads for these services can be seen in the classified ads of most newspapers and magazines in the Philippines. You can also find flyers and posters advertising such services in streets especially in the cities.

"Lipat bahay" businesses in the Philippines make use of various vehicles when delivering their services. Some use customized buses, some use vans and some use jeepneys. Most businesses make use of the jeepney when transferring their clients from their old homes to their new homes. This is often more convenient and faster because the jeepney can accommodate more items. If they are going to use a van, they might have to make two trips.

Looking for a lipat bahay business or company in the Philippines is not that very hard to do.As we said earlier, you can find their advertisements almost everywhere - in newspapers, in magazines, in street posters and flyers.

Antong Falls: a Tourist Destination in Sison, Pangasinan

Antong Falls may not be a well-known destination in the province of Pangasinan but it’s a great destination nonetheless. As more visitors of the Falls spread the word about the place, it’s rise as a top destination in the province is inevitable. Located within the municipality of Sison, Antong Falls is a nice place to visit if you love cool and crystal-clear waters. Antong Falls is actually a series of three waterfalls. The upper cascades of these waterfalls is called Limmingaling Falls. The place is open from 6 am to 5 pm. So spending a night there is definitely prohibited.

Take note as well that there’s an entrance fee of 10 pesos per head. When you are there, you should also abide by the rules and regulations. For example, fishing in the river is not allowed. Since the place is open for group and family picnics, people are allowed to cook in the area. However, you can’t just cook anywhere you want. There are designated areas for cooking so you should only use these designated areas. Violators of the rules will be asked to pay penalties that range from 300 to 5,000 pesos depending on the violation. There’s a sign board at the picnic area detailing the rules and regulations. You should read these before you proceed doing anything in the waterfalls.

How to get to Antong Falls
If you are coming from the city of Manila, just board a bus bound for any of the following destinations: Laoag City, Baguio City, Vigan City, La Union, Candon City and Abra. You can find many of these bus stations in Cubao or Pasay City. These buses will pass through Sison, Pangasinan where the Antong Falls are located.

You need to get off at the village of Paldit. There’s a connecting road there that leads to the village of Labayug where the Northern Cement Corporation (NCC) is located. At the road intersection, hire a tricycle to take you to the village of Inmalog. If you reach Inmalog, you can just ask from the locals there or inquire at the barangay hall/center as how you can get to the falls.

If you are coming from San Fernando City in La Union, you can ride any of the Dominion buses headed to Cubao then get off at Sison, Pangasinan.

If you are coming from Baguio City, just board any of the Victory Liner, Genesis or Dagupan buses that are bound for Manila. Get off the bus in Sison, Pangasinan and find your way to the waterfalls from there.

Here’s a few tips
1. When you get to Sison, it’s best that you eat there first before you head out to the falls. Going there will require some trekking and hiking. It would be a bad idea to go out hiking to the place with a hungry stomach. Don’t worry, there’s several eateries and food stalls at the drop-off point in Sison.
2. Always keep on asking directions. It will be easy for you to get lost in the area if you don’t ask for directions. The locals are very helpful and hospitable so don’t be shy to ask questions.
3. Bring food and snacks with you to eat at Antong Falls. They have a picnic area there where you can enjoy eating your food under the cool shade of huts or trees.

Technowise 360 Review: Is Technowise 360 a Scam? - Part II

Note: This is part two of my Technowise 360 review. If you haven't read Part I yet, I suggest that you go read it first before you continue reading this Part II. The first part of this article can be found here. I've decided to break up the review into two parts because the article was rather too long and I'm afraid that people may get bored reading such a long stretch of text.

And here are the cons (the things I don’t like about Technowise 360):
1. They aren’t offering anything new. They may have introduced a few things on their referral system but these really don’t account much. It’s still the old and traditional referral system with a few added bells and whistles, that’s all. It’s basically “get more referrals and earn more”. You see, there’s really nothing that you can introduce to change the referral concept. Furthermore, their products are also not original products. These are products that you can purchase somewhere else. These are health, personal care, fitness, whitening, and cosmetics products from other companies like Nature’s Way. So the question is why buy from Technowise 360 when you can buy the same products from other companies at lower prices? You see, Technowise 360 here is simply acting like a retailer so in order for them to profit from the products, they need to put a premium on the prices of the products. In a nutshell, Technowise 360 aren’t offering original products. If you sign up as a distributor, it will be much harder for you to sell your products because there will be a ton of competition out there.

2. They also have a loading business which is also unoriginal. I mean come on, there are dozens of loading businesses out there. Can’t Technowise please come up with something new so that we don’t have to compete with the thousands of loading businesses already saturating the market? In this Technowise 360 review, it’s worth mentioning that I checked out their loading opportunity and it does have its perks but I don’t really see how it can be sustainable. It just requires too much work for too little proceeds. I have to say that it’s really not worth it.

3. Joining, registering, and setting up your account is rather too complicated. I’m not a technically-savvy individual but when I browsed through the sign-up process, I got lost quite a few times. I can only imagine the confusion of less tech-savvy persons in joining the company. I would suggest that Technowise 360 create a much better and smoother sign-up process as the current one can only frustrate those trying to join.

4. The lies. The company, the founders and members of Technowise 360 may be aware or not aware of it but they are unconsciously propagating lies regarding the company and the business opportunity it’s offering. For instance, the website says that there will be “no selling”. Look, promotion is selling even if you are simply getting people to sign up and they purchase products on their own. In most instances, a distributor uses the products in the inventory to attract people to join. That in itself is selling (getting people to buy into the company).

The conclusion of this Technowise 360 review:
As much as I admire the ambition and the goals of the founders in creating and setting up such a company, I really don’t see it as sustainable. They have a business model that’s overused already and currently being employed by thousands of other companies. And they have products that are already available somewhere else. I don’t really see how Technowise 360 can grow as a business. You see, in order to thrive in the MLM industry, you should at least have a unique product or service, not a rehashed business model and products that can be bought from a nearby department store. However, if you still wish to try out Technowise 360, you may do so. If you have 360 pesos to spare, why not try it out. Don’t raise your expectations too high though. As I said earlier, I don’t see how Technowise 360 will be able to sustain itself in the long run.

I hope you found our Technowise 360 review helpful. If you have anything to say like recommendations and suggestions, please feel free to leave your feedback at the comments section below. Thanks a lot.

Technowise 360 Review: Is Technowise 360 a Scam? - Part I

In this Technowise 360 review, we are going to look into the business opportunity that the company offers and find out if it’s a good idea to join and invest your hard-earned money into it. You see, you have probably heard a mixture of reviews from friends or colleagues about the company. Some may have told you that Technowise 360 is a scam. On the other hand, some may have told you that it’s legit and that anybody can really earn some extra money from it. This is why we have written this Technowise 360 review. It’s our aim to help you make an informed decision whether you should join Technowise 360 or not.

First things first, Technowise 360 is a network marketing company. That said, its business model revolves around MLM or multi-level marketing. I’m pretty sure that you are familiar with this type of business. If you are not familiar with it, I suggest that you do some reading first about network marketing. There’s a ton of resources online where you can read about it. This is to familiarize yourself with the concept and how it works. It’s really never a good idea to invest your money in a business if you don’t know how the business works.

I’m going to just answer the question that you’re probably waiting for to be answered. Is Technowise 360 a scam? Well, I’m going to say no. Technowise is not a scam but I have to tell you that just because something isn’t a scam doesn’t mean you can REALLY earn good money from it. Let’s face it, a lot of networking companies out there are not scams but they won’t earn you any money. Only those at the top of the company have the REAL opportunities to make some dough.

Anyway, back to our Technowise 360 review. To make this review much easier to understand, I’m going to just list the things that I “like” and “don’t like” about the company and the business opportunity it’s offering. The pros and cons, if you will.

Let’s start with the pros (the things that I like about Technowise 360):
1. Transparency by the founders. I have to give it to the founders of Technowise 360 for putting out their real faces and names for everybody to see. This speaks a lot about their intentions. If you visit the company’s website, the names of the founders and management team were posted alongside a clear photo. This is a good sign because there are faces behind the company unlike other networking companies out there that acts so shady that you don’t even know who owns or who found them. However, I’m a bit worried about the founders as they all seem to be in their 20’s and 30’s. Worried in the sense that “do they have the experience and maturity needed to run a business like this?”.

2. They have tools, resources and webinars that help their members get the most out of the business opportunity. It’s great that the company is doing everything that it can to help their members. If you visit their YouTube account, you will find videos there that can be of great help to you if you are a member and a distributor. They also have videos on the products in their inventory. As a distributor, you can use these videos to convince other people to check out the company.

3. There’s a way to contact them. Their contact details are posted in their website. These details include a mailing address and a telephone number. You can directly leave your message right on their contacts page.

4. Joining is cheap. It’s only worth 360 pesos. Of course, this is if you plan on earning through the company’s referral system. I’m not going to go deep into the opportunity’s referral system as it can best be explained by the videos and tutorials provided by the company. Basically, the referral system just works like any referral system. The more people you convince to sign up through your referral link, the more earnings you can generate.

Note: This is part one of my Technowise 360 review. The second part can be found here. I've decided to break the review in two parts because the article is rather too long and readers might get tired reading it.

Treasure Hunting in the Philippines

As the demand for exotic antiques and historical relics continue to soar, a direct effect of this is an increase in the number of people conducting treasure hunting in the Philippines. These treasure hunters come from all parts of the world. A lot of them are locals who have learned how to go treasure hunting from books, television, movies and articles from varied sources like newspapers, magazines and the internet. Almost anything you wish to know about hunting for treasures can be gleaned from the internet. In fact, there are hundreds of websites, blogs and forums that are specifically dedicated to the business of hunting for treasures. It’s no wonder that interest for treasure hunting in the Philippines continue to grow every day.

What makes the Philippines a popular destination for treasure hunters, you may ask. A really good question. Why are hordes of treasure-hungry people flocking to the archipelago? Obviously, they think and believe that there’s a lot of hidden treasures here. But what makes them believe as such? I think the number one reason is the fact that the Philippines is historically rich. The country has been under Spanish rule for over three centuries. Before the Spaniards came, there were already various civilizations occupying almost all of the islands in the archipelago. Nations rich in history are also rich in treasures. Treasure hunters are aware of this. That’s why they have been arriving in this country in droves.

What kind of treasures are these hunters looking to find in the Philippines? Most of them sought historical items like objects from the times of the Spanish occupation. There are also those looking for items from pre-colonial times. These are rather very rare so they often come at very steep prices. Some Filipinos have made a career of hunting for these historical objects then selling them off to foreign treasure hunters and collectors. It’s not uncommon to hear of Filipino antique buyers and sellers becoming millionaires.

There are also those who come into this country to look for famous treasures like the Yamashita Treasure. This treasure which is allegedly composed of hundreds of gold bars hidden and buried in the country by Japanese soldiers during the end of World War II has attracted hundreds of treasure hunters over the years. The search for parts of this treasure continue up to this day. As you are reading this article, there are probably men currently digging a tunnel somewhere in Benguet, a province in Luzon where most people believe the treasures had been buried by the Japanese soldiers.

Another reason explaining the influx of treasure hunters into the country is the almost non-existent government regulation concerning the buying and selling of antiques and historical items. It’s almost too easy to bring an item out of the country. SMuggling is very rampant which is due to both incompetence and corruption within the agencies concerned with the exportation of items out of the country.

The Title for the Need for Speed Movie Trailer Music and Song

What's the song and music featured in the first official trailer for the movie Need for Speed starring Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots and Dominic Cooper? The fact that you have arrived at this page means you are in need of an answer for the question just mentioned. Well, the song's title is Sarajevo and it's a composition by well-known British composer Max Richter. It's a track from Richter's album Memoryhouse which was released in 2002. The album was re-released in 2009.

Memoryhouse contains eighteen tracks. If you liked the sound of Saravejo, you are going to love all eighteen tracks in the album. BBC Music did not describe the album as "a masterpiece in neoclassical composition" for nothing. Combining ambient sounds, poetry readings and voices, the songs in Memoryhouse are great sounds that can be used in almost anything. Aside from Saravejo, some of the best tracks in the album include Last Days and November.

If you have seen the documentary called Auschwitz: The Nazis and the Final Solution which was aired by the BBC in 2005, then you are familiar with Memoryhouse (although you may not be aware of it) as four tracks from the album were used in the six-part documentary. These tracks are Europe After the Rain, Fragment, The Twins (Prague) and Embers.

Other record albums by Max Richter that you might want to check out are The Blue Notebooks (2004), Songs from Before (2006), 24 Postcards in Full Colour (2008) and his latest Infra (2010).

Need for Speed isn't the first major movie to use Saravejo in its trailer. The track was also used in the international trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

Scheduled to be released on March 14, 2014, Need for Speed is a film adaptation of the popular video game series of the same name by Electronic Arts. The screenplay was written by John Gatins and George Nolfi. It was directed by Scott Waugh. Need for Speed will be Waugh's second feature film. His first was 2012's action flick Act of Valor.

Joining Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul in the main cast are Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper, Ramon Rodriguez, rapper Kid Cudi, Rami Malek, Michael Keaton, Harrison Gilbertson and Dakota Johnson. The film's score will feature music composed by Nathan Furst (A Moment of Confusion, Act of Valor, Lake Placid 2).

The film got its title from the leaf formations that hang from bamboo trees. Such formations usually look like chandeliers and they are often mistaken as beehives or anthills. Director Delos Reyes first saw such leaf formations during a leisure cruise along Abatan River in Bohol. The experience inspired him to make it as a theme for his film Bamboo Flowers.

Delos Reyes had the following to say in the film's Facebook page: "What are the Bamboo Flowers? They are the chandelier-shaped leaf formations that hang on bambbo trees as they they start to age. When they bloom, they are usually mistaken as beehives or floating anthills. They usually last for 2-4 years and start to wither after which the bamboo tree dies. When I first saw them on a leisure cruise at the ABATAN RIVER, , I got inspired by the paradox of their existence and adapted the theme in my upcoming entry to the Sineng Pambansa All-Masters Edition National Film Festival come September 7, 2013. Watch it soon!"

About the film:
A film that talks about the youth's problems, hopes and aspirations; about love and life; about sacrifice, forgiveness and acceptance; about life and death.

Glee Sings The Beatles Soundtrack Album

If you are a fan of the television show Glee and the music of The Beatles, here is an album you might want to check out. The album is called Glee Sings The Beatles and it features fourteen songs by the popular British band as covered by the cast of Glee. It will be the fifteenth soundtrack album to come out of the musical television program.

The first two episodes of the fifth season of Glee will feature tributes to the music of The Beatles. The first episode is entitled Love Love Love and the second episode is entitled Tina in the Sky with Diamonds.

Love Love Love is obviously derived from the lyrics of the song All You Need is Love by The Beatles which was released in July 1967. It's one of the most well-known songs by the band.

Tina in the Sky with Diamonds, on the other hand, is derived from the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Recorded by the band in March of 1967 then released a couple of months later, the song was inspired by Julian, John Lennon's son. A controversy arose around the song right after it was released because the title allegedly spells LSD if you are to take the first letters of the nouns in the title. The BBC even went as far as banning the song.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is a track from the band's album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, one of the most successful records ever released by the rock and roll group.
Here's the track listing for the Glee Sings The Beatles album: 1. Yesterday, 2. Drive My Car, 3. Got to Get You Into My Life, 4. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, 5. Help, 6. A Hard Day's Night (song), 7. I Saw Her Standing There, 8. All You Need is Love, 9. Get Back, 10. Here Comes the Sun, 11. Something, 12. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 13. Hey Jude, 14. Let It Be

The song Here Comes the Sun will feature pop singer Demi Lovato.

How to Write Follow-Up Emails to Your List

Getting people to join your mailing list is but the first step in your sales funnel. Once people get in your list, you need to communicate with them in ways that will help them turn form mere prospects into buying customers. Needless to say, this is easier said than done. The primary goal of an email list is to generate leads or subscribers then effectively convert them into customers. For you to be able to do this, you must keep in touch with your subscribers and regularly provide them with valuable content and interesting offers. This is where your skills in crafting an effective follow-up comes into place. To help you get started, below are a few practical tips on how to write a follow-up email.

1. Deliver what you promised to your subscribers. Whether you used a squeeze page or a third-party in getting subscribers, you must fulfill your promises. If you promised them a free ebook, then give it to them. If you promised a tutorial, then provide a tutorial. In fact, as much as possible, try to over-deliver. Give your subscribers more than what you promised. This will significantly improve your reputation. Be helpful whenever you can. Every follow-up email you send should contain something that each subscriber can use or learn from.

2. Keep your messages relevant. It's never a good idea to go off-topic because those in your list might unsubscribe. The general rule is that you should stick to the type of content you promised when people joined your list. If people signed up with you because you offered them "affiliate marketing" tips, then you should only send them new content related to affiliate marketing. This is especially true when you are doing promotions. Your follow-up email must only promote products or services that will interest your subscribers.

3. Send more valuable content and less promotions. If you send too much promotions, you will sound like a spammer. That said, you should balance out your messages. For example, you can send four content messages before sending a promotion message. Use these content messages to build up interest for the product you are promoting.

4. Listen to the needs of your subscribers. Always take the time to gather feedback from your subscribers. Listen to what they have to say, analyze them, then try to incorporate what you've learned in your next email campaign. Whenever you try to learn how to write a follow-up email, always keep in mind the needs of your subscribers.

5. Give more free stuff. People love free deals so give it to them whenever you have the chance. This keeps the communication line active. Not only do you make your subscribers happy, it also strengthens the bond that joins you together.

6. Plan in advance your follow-up emails. It's much easier and faster to implement an email marketing campaign if you are following a plan. There are a lot of tools out there that you can use to create a plan. These include spread sheets, apps, and mind maps.

These practical tips on how to write a follow-up email will substantially improve the results you generate in your email marketing campaigns. So implement them whenever you can.

Bubblews Earnings: My Bubblews Income Diary

In this page, I am going to try to record my earnings journey with Bubblews. I joined the site about the time it went public but it was only last year that I started writing for the site. To be honest, the first time I saw Bubblews, I thought it was a scam site so it took me a while before I published my first Bubblews article.

Anyway, to cut the long story short, I decided to give the site a shot sometime in the last quarter of 2012. It was a good thing I tried because Bubblews turned out to be one that pays well its writers. I redeemed my earnings for the first time in my first month alone. That never happened to me in other revenue-sharing sites like Squidoo or HubPages or InfoBarrel.

Since that first redeem, I've withdrawn my earnings several times during the first months of 2013 (January, February, and March.

Since I wasn't able to keep a record of the earnings I made during those months, I'm going to start this Bubblews income diary with the month of April. I redeemed my earnings twice during this month which means I earned about $50 this month.

My Bubblews Earnings and Income Diary*:
April - $50 (two redeems)
May – coming soon

---->>> Click here to join Bubblews now! The earlier you sign up, the better.

*Before the month of April, 2013, I've probably earned a total of about $150. That's equivalent to six redeems. It's not much but it's extra income for very minimal work so I can't complain. I'm more than satisfied with it.

Bubblews Bot: I Hate Bubblews Bots

Due to the way Bubblews works wherein articles make money based on the number of views, likes and comments that they generate, there are some people out there who are trying to game the system by using some sort of Bubblews bot. This is obviously against the rules and policies of Bubblews but there are still people who do it. I was browsing through an online forum when I came across this forum thread where people are discussing a certain Bubblews bot which can increase views and likes for your Bubblews articles.

Take note that this bot is automated which means that it can drive massive artificial traffic to Bubblews in such short periods of time. The forum thread even contain screen capture pages of the articles and the number of views they are generating through the Bubblews bot. I immediately reported the forum thread to a moderator and as of today, the thread was locked and deleted. However, what bothers me is that those people will probably continue to use the same bot here in Bubblews which is really unfair for people like me who write my articles from scratch and drive traffic to them using approved and ethical traffic-generation strategies.

--->>> Click here to join Bubblews now! The earlier you sign up, the bigger your earnings will be.

It’s really sad that these type of bots exist. These bots will not only hurt Bubblews as a whole, it will also hurt the writers here who follow all the rules and policies. I’m really hoping that Bubblews has some sort of defense against these bots before they do any damage. I’ve been writing here for several months now and I’m enjoying it here. Bubblews has a lot of cool features that you can’t find in other writing sites. It will be a shame if Bubblews goes down the drain because of irresponsible bots created by irresponsible people.

The Best Strategies on How to Increase Your Bubblews Earnings

The fact that you are reading this article means you are looking for ways and strategies on how to grow and increase your Bubblews earnings. It could be that you are not satisfied with the amount you are currently earning from the site or it's possible that you are not earning anything at all. The latter is however impossible because Bubblews pays by the views so unless you are getting zero views for your articles, you should still be earning something. As of the writing of this article, Bubblews pays its writers an average of $0.01 per unique view. That means you only need 100 article views to earn one dollar. This is what makes Bubblews very popular among content writers looking for ways to earn a buck from their work.

Anyway, here are some of the best strategies and techniques on how to increase your earnings from Bubblews. If you haven't signed up with the site yet, just click on the following link, sign up, and return to this page to continue reading how you can earn more from Bubblews.

1. Learn the basics of search engine optimization and implement what you learned in creating your Bubblews articles. SEO isn't very difficult to digest. It's just a matter of understanding how people search online. You have to look for the terms and phrases that they are using to search for information and products in the internet. You then grab these terms and phrases and incorporate them in your articles. To find these keywords, you have to do some keyword research. Don't worry, doing keyword research is also easy. For starters, you should use the Google Keyword Suggestion tool. It's free and it's rather easy to use. Another important factor of SEO that you must understand is link building or backlinking. Building links that point to your Bubblews articles will help improve their rankings in Google.

2. Write often. The more Bubblews articles you write, the more money you earn. It's as simple as that. This works pretty well with Bubblews because it pays you based on the number of views that your articles get. Two articles is often better than one. However, you should keep in mind that there's a limit as to the number of articles you can post on Bubblews in one day. If I'm not mistaken, that limit is 10 articles a day. If you go beyond that limit, you run the risk of getting banned from the site. Additionally, just because you are allowed 10 posts a day, that doesn't give you the right to spam the site with very low quality content just for the sake of reaching the post limit. You also have to make sure that you are submitting valuable content.

3. Interlink your Bubblews articles. You should only do this with articles that are related to each other. They don't have to be on the same niche but they must complement each other. This is a great way to expose more of your articles by leveraging the traffic that your articles receive.

4. Be active in Bubblews and interact with other users and writers. Always remember that your earnings are also affected by the comments and votes that they get. The more comments and votes your articles get, the more your Bubblews earnings increase. So take the time to read other people's articles, comment if you have something to add and vote up if you find them valuable and interesting.

5. Promote your articles in social media sites. If you regularly promote your articles in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest or other social media sites you have joined, the traffic that you can drive to your articles also grows. Additionally, there's always the chance that your content can go viral in a social media site. Imagine how much traffic and earnings you'll generate from Bubblews if an article of yours goes viral on Facebook.

6. Write longer and better articles. Although you can submit articles that are just a few paragraphs long on Bubblews, it's still best that you focus on creating content that are longer and has better quality. This is still the best way on how to increase your Bubblews earnings. As they say, content is still king.

--->>> Click here to join Bubblews now! The earlier you sign up, the more you will earn.

These six strategies are everything that you need to grow and increase your Bubblews earnings. To recap: learn how to implement search engine optimization, write more often, interlink your articles, be active in the site, promote your articles in social networking sites, and write longer and better-quality content. There's no reason why your Bubblews earnings shouldn't increase if you follow these techniques.

How to Maximize Your Bubblews Payment

If you have been around Bubblews for a while, then you know that your Bubblews payment is based on the number of views, likes and comments that your articles get. Whether your visitors click on ads or not, you still get paid for every view depending on the current rate. The average pay ver view though is around $0.01. That means that if an article of yours gets 100 views, it’slikely that it will earn around $1. Doing the math, you need 1000 views to earn around $10. Now here’s the good news, you can redeem your earnings if it reaches the minimum payout threshold of $25. You can redeem such earnings anytine during a given month. So if you reach the $25 threshold twice in a month, then you can redeem your earnings twice a month as well. That’s what’s great about Bubblews.

Here are some tips on how to maximize your Bubblews payment:
1. Try to hold out for your earnings before you redeem them. Every time you redeem your earnings when it reaches $25 via Paypal, you will be charged with a fee that’s around $1. You can save from these fees by withdrawing your earnings when you reach bigger amounts, say $50 or $100.

2. You are allowed to post 10 articles in a day. So why not maximize that and write 10 quality posts a day. The more you post on Bubblews, the faster your income grows. There’s a direct relationship between number of posts and amount of earnings. However, you must make sure that every piece of article you publish is of good quality.

3. Share your articles in your social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. These social networking sites are great sources of highly targeted traffic so you must take advantage of them.

4. Connect with other Bubblews writers. Visit other people’s content, read them and leave your feedback and reactions.

--->>> Click here to join Bubblews now! The earlier you register, the more you will earn.

These four simple tips can help you increase and maximize your Bubblews payment earnings. So implement them whenever you can.

Bubblews Banned by StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is among the social bookmarking sites that I use to promote and drive traffic to everything that I publish on the internet. I use StumbleUpon on Squidoo, on my blogs, HubPages and of course here in Bubblews. It’s a great social charing site which can quickly increase the exposure for your Bubblews articles. So I was writing and publishing articles this morning and when I started to stumble them, I get the following message:

“This website is not available for StumbleUpon members to rate or review. From time to time, we may remove sites from our database for a variety of reasons. For more information, please consult our Help Center.”

Well, the message is pretty straightforward. You can no longer stumble your Bubblews articles which is really sad because StumbleUpon is a great source of fast and free traffic. Bubblews has been banned by StumbleUpon. As to the reasons why they banned it, they didn’t say exactly but I think I have an idea why. It’s no secret that there’s a lot of spammy and low quality content on Bubblews. This is a shame really because Bubblews has great potential and there’s a lot of good writers here creating good content. The bad apples are ruining the whole site. I believe that StumbleUpon realized that a lot of bad content from Bubblews are being stumbled. So they decided to ban Bubblews.
It’s still unknown if we’ll be able to use StumbleUpon on Bubblews in the future but there’s a chance. I’ve heard of sites that were banned but then were welcomed back after getting things together. I’m hoping that it will happen for Bubblews.

Bubblews Review: Is It a Scam Or Is It Legit?

The fact that you are reading this article means that you are wondering if Bubblews is a scam. Your are probably thinking of registering with the site but you are still unsure if it's going to be worth your time and efforts. That's a good thing because you can never be too careful these days wherein dozens of scam websites proliferate the web. It's always the best strategy to research extensively about a website before joining. That is even if the website is a free site. Anybody can just set up a website, attract users, and once he/she gets what he/she wants, he'll/she'll pack the shop and disappear, never to be seen again. This happens in a regular basis in the internet.

This brings us back to Bubblews. Bubblews is a fairly new site so it's just natural for people to be skeptical about it. In fact, there are already those people who are proclaiming that Bubblews is a scam. It's too hard to determine what their motives are in proclaiming such but then again this is the internet where anyone can say anything without any proof to back up their claims and ideas. The scary thing is that there are also people who would believe everything that they read online. So if they read an article about a Bubblews scam, they will readily believe it. This is unfortunate but it's true. Sometimes, people throw critical thinking out the window and believe everything they read online.

Anyway, the question is “Is Bubblews a scam?”. Well, as far as I am concerned, it's NOT a scam. I've been here just a few weeks and I've already redeemed my Bubblews earnings once. I've been paid via PayPal and that means that Bubblews is legit. They pay their users as they promised. What's great about the payment structure is that you don't have to wait for the end of the month to redeem your earnings. You can redeem as long as you have reached the minimum payout threshold of 25 dollars. For example, if you are able to earn 50 dollars in a single week, you can redeem your earnings twice in the same week by withdrawing your earnings every time they reached 25 dollars.

How much you are paid in Bubblews depends on how many views, social media shares and comments your articles get. You get paid for every view. At first, I didn't believe this but after studying the site for a while, they are indeed true to their words. You are paid for every view and comment that your articles get. How much you are paid per view depends on the current earnings of Bubblews. It's a really unique setup which raises a few concerns but overall, everything seems smooth and good. People are earning healthy amounts from their posts and that's what really matters. This just proves that there is no such thing as a Bubblews scam.

11 Interesting Titanic Facts You Probably Didn't Know About The Doomed Ship

Thanks to the movie which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, everybody these days seems to know about the Titanic. Or do they? Besides being the largest ship during its time and famously sinking in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg, what else do you know about the doomed ship? Probably not much. As it occurs, the RMS Titanic (as it was called back then) is a treasure trove of interesting historical information. That said, we're giving you the following 11 interesting facts that you probably didn't know about the Titanic.

1. The Titanic had its own in-ship newspaper. Called the Atlantic Daily Bulletin, the newspaper was printed and published on the ship on a daily basis. The newspaper contained everything from news items to opinion columns. It even included horse-racing and other sports results, business advertisements, current stock prices and gossip stories. And of course, there was a section where the day's menu was listed. This is yet another proof that the Titanic did have everything on board.

2. The lookouts who were on duty the night the ship struck an iceberg didn't have binoculars. This was a huge mistake as the ship was traversing an area littered with icebergs. If the lookout crew that night had binoculars, the tragedy would have been prevented because they would've seen the iceberg from afar thus giving them time to steer the ship away from it. It's not that the ship didn't have binoculars. They had the gadgets but they were locked in the lookout's locker. The problem was that the lookouts Reginald Lee and Fredrick Fleet didn't have the key to said locker.

3. Passengers of the ship paid for tickets that were worth between $30 and $4,350. First class tickets were worth $4,350, second class tickets were $1,750 and third class tickets were $30. The huge discrepancies in the ticket prices were due to the fact that the ship had some of the wealthiest people in the world as well as some of the poorest. Among the passengers were the millionaires John Jacob Astor IV, Benjamin Guggenheim, and Isidor Strauss. Over half of the 2,224 passengers were third class ticket holders.

4. When the ship sunk, there were no reliable sources of updated information so most of the news pieces published by newspapers right after the tragedy were either misinformed or simply wrong. Examples of these headlines were as follows:
*All Passengers Safe. Titanic Being Towed to Halifax
*Passengers Safely Moved and Steamer Titanic Taken In Tow
*Titanic Reported to Have Struck Iceberg. No Lives Were Lost

As it turned out, the Titanic wasn't towed nor did all passengers survive. The ship sunk into the Atlantic Ocean in just under two hours after hitting the iceberg. The ship took with her about 1,500 passengers into the deep ocean.

5. The ship had twelve dogs as passengers. Only three of these dogs survived. This fact has always brought criticism to the way the evacuation process during the tragedy was handled. Reportedly, the three dog survivors were able to make it because they were given spots in lifeboats that should've been given to people. The three dogs were composed of two Pomeranians and a Pekingese. They were all owned by first-class passengers.

 6. It took two years and more than 15,000 men to build the ship. It was built on a construction yard located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. When it was finally launched on May 31, 1911, over twenty-two tons of tallow and soap had to be spread by the crew on the slipway so that the ship can easily slip into the River Lagan. It would take another year for the ship to be completed.

7. Many passengers and crew didn't know how to use the lifeboats. If they did, more people would have been saved. They were confused on how the lifeboats were supposed to work. This was why so many of the life-saving boats were launched with very few people on board. For example, a boat that should've carried 65 people was launched with just 28 people. They could've saved 37 more people if they filled the boat to its capacity. Making matters worse was the fact that the Titanic didn't have enough lifeboats for the more than 2,000 people aboard the ship.

8. Although the Titanic looked like it had four funnels, the fourth funnel was actually a fake one. In essence, it was put there just for show. the designers of the ship decided to add the fake funnel because they thought the ship will look much more impressive with four funnels instead of just three. It's the job of these funnels to release and get rid of the steam accumulated in the ship's boilers.

9. More people would've survived the tragedy if two ships nearby came for rescue. All survivors of the shipwreck were rescued by the Carpathia. However, there were other two ships nearby that didn't heed the Titanic's SOS flares. There was the SS Californian who saw the SOS flares but the captain of the ship merely ignored the flares. And then there was the Samson, a schooner registered in Norway. Reportedly, the Samson was just about seven miles away from the Titanic. So how come they didn't respond to distress calls? According to theorists, this is because of the simple fact that the Samson was engaged in illegal seal hunting. If they approached the Titanic, their illegal activities would've been uncovered.

10. The Titanic received six iceberg warnings prior to the accident. All these warnings were sent in the same day. This again puts more teeth to the theory that an iceberg didn't sink the Titanic, it was the incompetent crew that did it. If they heeded these warnings, if they slowed down instead of sailing at full speed, if the lookouts had binoculars, the ship would've have completed its maiden voyage safely and successfully.

11. When the ship was launched, the tradition of breaking a bottle of champagne on the bow of the ship wasn't performed. Many people believe this break-in-tradition had brought bad luck to the Titanic.

So there goes the eleven interesting facts you probably didn't know about the ship RMS Titanic.

These are the main ingredients of a successful PPC campaign.

Google is the largest search engine today so it should be the one you're going to use to create your PPC ads. In this article, you are going to learn how to fully tap the power of Google. You will learn how to set up a PPC campaign, how to optimize your individual ads, how to optimize your landing page, how to set up autoresponders and how you should go about with the mini launch process. There's a formula on achieving success with PPC. This formula is as follows:

PPC refers to your pay per click ads. SP is the squeeze page where people who click on the ads will be redirected to. EM refers to email marketing. After people opt-in into your email list through the squeeze page you set up, you must follow-up this by sending them updates and announcements through email. And last but not the least, ML refers to the mini launch. This mini launch is comprised of the series of emails that you send to those who subscribed to you through your squeeze page. What a mini launch does is set up your prospective customers for your product offer. How good you are with your mini launch will determine your conversion rates. The higher your conversion rates are, the better profits you reap.

Let's now take a look into the different aspects of the PPC formula we mentioned above. Follow all the tips we give you to improve the performance of your campaigns.

Setting Up Your PPC Campaign:
Before you begin with your campaign, you should have a budget in mind. If you don't plan a budget, you might spend more than you can afford. For a start, you should target a budget that will cost you between $15 and $20 a day. Another great factor you should consider is your quality score. Your priority should be on achieving the highest possible quality score. You should shoot for a quality score of 10 which is the highest possible score that you can have. As your quality score increases, the cost per click of your PPC ads goes down. This translates to lesser ad expenses. Several factors determine your quality score. Such factors include click through rate, landing page quality and ad relevance. As to cost per click, try aiming for a rate that will cost you less than 20 cents per click.

Optimizing Your Ad:
Before you start writing your PPC ads, you must first visit the Google AdWords Learning Center and familiarize yourself with the rules and policies. This is to ensure that you do everything right and avoid breaking the rules which can derail your campaigns. The most important thing you need to remember when writing your ad is that it should be optimized with regards to the keyword or phrase that you wish to target. You will be bidding with said keyword so the text contained by your ad should be well-optimized. This will substantially improve its performance once it goes live. Your ad should effectively convey to the viewer what it's about. For example, if the ad leads to a landing page about "language software", it should contain the keyword phrase in the ad body or ad title. Optimization is just a matter of finding the right keywords and embedding them effectively in your ad.

The Importance of Keywords:
How your PPC ad performs is dependent on your use of keywords. If you choose and use the wrong keywords, you might as well be throwing your money out of the window. What's worse, your target customers won't be able to find your ad. If you want a profitable campaign, it's highly recommended that you do extensive keyword research to find the best keyword options for your ad. These should be keywords that people are ACTUALLY typing on Google to find information online. More targeted traffic will be seeing your ad if you use the right keywords. More targeted traffic will mean more profits.

To find the right keywords, you need to use a keyword research or suggestion tool. There are several of these tools online but so far the best one is Google's own keyword tool. The tool is free to use and has a lot of cool features that you can utilize to hasten your search for good keywords. If you go to the tool, you simply enter the keyword phrase you think people are typing on Google. The tool will then come up with a lot of suggested phrases related to what you typed. Along with this list of suggested phrases, you also get details about their search volumes as well as the competition around them. This will give you an idea as to what phrases you are going to run after. The most important factor you need to consider when choosing phrases is relevancy. The phrase should be as relevant as possible to your offers. Just because a phrase has a very high search volume doesn't mean you should pick it. Again, you have to consider if it's relevant. The more relevant keywords you use, the more targeted traffic your ad will attract.

If you find a good phrase, you should repeat the process discussed in the above paragraph. This will give you even more keyword ideas. It's also advisable that you create ad groups for your set of possible keywords. Each individual keyword should have an ad group under it.

Good Copy Writing Skills:
It's no secret that good writers create great ad copy. That said, you might consider getting someone who is experienced in this field to create a catchy copy for your ad. If you think you have the writing skills then you can do it yourself. If you look at a standard PPC ad, you'll see that you have very little space for you to make an impact and send a good message to the viewer. Your ad must be able to catch people's attention. There are certain things you can do to make sure that your ad performs well. First, use relevant keywords. A person will likely click on an ad if he/she sees the words that he/she is looking for. Second, emphasize the benefits of your offer. For example, if you are promoting an app, you can mention in the ad that the app is cheap or it can be used on all mobile devices. Third, use an attention-grabbing title headline. A good example of an interesting headline: "How to Land Thousands of Clients as a Freelance Designer". And fourth, tap into the emotions of people. As marketers often say, "hit them where it hurts". An ad that piques people's emotions is more likely to receive a large number of clicks.

The Display URL For Your Ads:
All text-based Google ads display a URL. This is a very important part of your ad. That said, you should use a display URL relevant to the ad. The general rule is that the URL should contain your main keyword or phrase. For example, if you are selling women's shows, an optimized display URL can look like or The latter example is a widely-used strategy and it's perfectly fine with Google. It doesn't break the rules or policies. Another reason why you should put your main keyword in your display URL is the fact that doing so will significantly increase the quality score of your ad. It will take you much closer to the target quality score of 10.

Optimizing Your Landing or Squeeze Page:
When a person clicks on your PPC ad, he or she will be directed to your landing page or squeeze page. The landing page serves as the second door to your offer. The main objective of the page is to convince viewers to sign up to an email list or other opt-in form. With that said, it's very important that you fully optimize your landing page to increase your sign-ups and subscribers. You're going to need a web editor software program in order to create a working landing page. There are a lot of these programs online. You should choose the one that best suits your product offer.

There's a direct correlation between your conversion rate and the quality of your landing page. If the page is effective in convincing people to sign up or subscribe then it follows that your conversion rate will also go up. A good landing page is one that's both engaging and interesting. You have to keep it simple and straight-forward. Don't go around the bush. Simply tell the visitors what your offer is all about and why they should get their hands on it.

You have to keep in mind your quality score when creating your landing page. Your ad should be relevant to the contents of the landing page. You can't have an ad about fitness exercises then have a landing page that talks about backpacking in Europe. Relevancy is the key here. If Google can't find relevance between your ad and landing page, your quality score will suffer. This in turn will hurt the performance of your PPC campaign. To ensure that this doesn't happen, you should use the keywords that you used in your ad in your landing page. For example, if your ad contains the phrase "fitness programs", then you should use the same phrase in your landing page.

Good Landing Page Content:
The most important thing to remember here is that you should use the same keywords in your ad, in your landing page title, and in your landing page content. For best results, you must write keyword-rich articles for your landing page. If you don't have the time to write an article yourself, you can always outsource it to freelance online writers.

Effective Call to Action:
This is without a doubt the most important part of a landing page. The call-to-action refers to the technique you use to convince a visitor to do something like subscribe to an email list, download a report, or join using an opt-in form. For better results, you should offer something for free like an ebook or a program to entice people to sign up. Also, make sure to remind the visitors that their email addresses and contact details are safe with you.

Utilize Autoresponders:
Your work doesn't stop when a visitor joins your mailing list through your landing page. You have to constantly nurture as well as develop a relationship with your subscribers. This is where an autoresponder comes into the picture. The autoresponder will take care of the communication between you and your subscribers. The best part of this is that this is done automatically or on autopilot.

How to Respond to Your Subscribers:
You should not immediately make your product offer the moment a person joins your mailing list. You should only make your offer in your 5th email. Your first 4 email messages will be to build trust with the subscriber so that when you finally make the offer, he/she will be more likely to purchase whatever you are promoting.

Checking If Your PPC Ads Are Profitable:
Measuring and tracking the performance of your ad is a critical aspect of PPC marketing. You have to do this in order to figure out if your ads are paying off or not. Are you getting the results you want? Are you getting your money's worth? Tracking the profitability of your PPC ads will answer these questions.

In conclusion, PPC marketing is a very effective strategy in building your online business. However, for you to be successful, you must follow a system that will generate positive results. An example of such a step-by-step system is the one discussed in this article. If you follow it, you increase your chances for success.
