Man Has A Very Close Encounter With An Alaskan Brown Bear. He Films It.

At the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary and Refuge in Alaska, brown bears are in abundance. The place is protected from hunting so the wildlife is thriving. Drew Hamilton, an employee of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, was there recently watching bears from the banks of the McNeil River when one nonchalantly approached and joined him on his perch.

The huge bear lingered there a bit, seemingly oblivious of Hamilton's presence. It even sat down for a second and watched the other bears down at the river. Moments later, it scampered away and joined the other bears at the river.
A lot of the people who have seen the video found it very surprising and scary. Most people assume that brown bears will attack people on sight. However, such is not the case. Brown bears seldom attack people on sight. In fact, they usually avoid going near people. They attack only when they were surprised or they felt that they were being threatened.
